ETK-NPC” objectives are:
• To provide community development initiatives that will assist people of Tamil heritage and descent to acquire a collective voice to contribute to the betterment of South African Society.
• To enable Tamil community members to reflect, renew and deepen their sense of nationality identity.
• To enable Tamil community members to share their resources, wisdom and skills in order to address the challenges that faces Republic of South Africa by means of driven, innovative and creative solutions.
• To promote, nurture and ensure the economic sustainability of the Tamil community in South Africa.
In line with one of the objectives “ETK-NPC’s” aim is to form a Co-Operative Financial Institution (“CFI”). A “CFI” is the umbrella term for member-based deposit taking financial co-operative, owned and controlled by their members who come together under a common bond and whose members choose to call themselves a “CFI”.
